Attorney Suzanne Z. Brookshire

Suzi attended Mercer Law School and graduated in 2005 with her Juris Doctor. During her studies, she worked for the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation and passing the Georgia State Bar, Suzi began a career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Cherokee Judicial Circuit. She handled all misdemeanor and felony offenses from the arrest stage through any post-conviction appellate issues. Suzi has handled thousands of cases ranging from DUI offenses, drug offenses as well as serious felony offenses to include aggravated assault, armed robbery, and capital murder. During her career as a prosecutor, Suzi tried over 100 cases before the Superior Court. Suzi also successfully argued over a dozen cases to the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court. After serving 16 years as an Assistant District Attorney, Suzi decided to step away from prosecution and go into private practice with David. Suzi’s robust prosecutorial experience brings a unique lens to the Brookshire Law Firm that allows her to advise clients based on that experience.

At the Brookshire Law Firm, Suzi assists in all criminal defense matters. Suzi has also been certified as a guardian ad litem and can offer this perspective to the firm’s civil clients. Suzi also assists David in family law matters.
